Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will release the autobiography of Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya at a grand ceremony at Shilpakala Vedika in Hitech City, Cyberabad, on Sunday. The event, scheduled for 11 am, will see the first copy handed over to former President Ramnath Kovind and Telangana Governor Jishnu Varma.
Titled “Prajala Kathe Naa Atmakatha” (The Story of the People of Telangana Is My Story), the book chronicles Dattatreya’s 70-year journey across diverse roles and experiences. Published by Emesco Publishers, the work promises to unveil untold facets of Telangana’s history, with Dattatreya positioning himself as a sutradhar a narrator of collective memory rather than just an individual voice.
Organised by the Alai Balai Foundation, the event will bring together a star-studded gathering of national leaders and dignitaries. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Justice of India N V Ramana, and Governors from Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Tripura, Abdul Nazir, Kambampati Haribabu, N Indrasena Reddy, and Srinivasa Varma will all be in attendance.
Prominent intellectuals, community leaders, and other luminaries are also expected to grace the occasion, making it a significant cultural and political moment for the state.
Bandaru Vijayalakshmi, daughter of Bandaru Dattatreya, reflected on the deeply personal yet collective narrative captured in the book, describing it as her father’s tribute to the spirit of Telangana’s people.
