Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former MLA Sampath Kumar has filed a complaint with AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan against Nagar Kurnool MP and TPCC Disciplinary Committee Chairman Dr. Mallu Ravi, accusing him of associating with BRS leaders.
In his complaint submitted on Thursday, Sampath Kumar alleged that Mallu Ravi’s proximity to BRS MLA Vijeyudu was harmful to the Congress party and urged the leadership to take immediate action. He asked Meenakshi Natarajan to reprimand Mallu Ravi for stepping outside party lines and to ensure he adheres to the party’s discipline.
“There is a great danger in aligning with BRS leaders. Congress leaders should understand this and respond accordingly,” Sampath Kumar said. He also alleged that during the decade-long rule of the BRS government, party leaders had misled the public and amassed wealth at the expense of Telangana’s people.
Referring to the previous BRS government’s promises, he pointed out that farmers had been promised Rythu Bandhu, Dalits were promised Dalit Bandhu, and youths were promised jobs for every family. “These promises were not kept,” he said.
Sampath Kumar argued that maintaining ties with BRS leaders was not only harmful but also sent a wrong message to Congress workers. “Those who continue to associate with BRS should seriously reconsider their stance, at least now,” he urged.
