Hyderabad: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Wednesday assured government employees that their concerns would be resolved swiftly, describing it as a top priority for the state administration. Addressing a key meeting with the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of employee unions at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat, he said the government has already laid the groundwork for addressing their demands, and a final report would be presented at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

Bhatti, who chaired the session alongside Sub-Committee Ministers Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar, stressed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had responded positively by forming both a Ministers’ Sub-Committee and an Officials’ Committee to examine the employees’ issues thoroughly. “Solving employees’ issues is our responsibility,” he asserted, promising that the government was determined to act without unnecessary delay.

He acknowledged that pending dues had built up over several years, making it tough to settle everything at once. Nonetheless, Bhatti underlined the government’s commitment to clearing these liabilities at the earliest, balancing public welfare with fiscal prudence.

The Deputy CM also highlighted the importance of open dialogue with employee unions, noting that the government sees its workforce as key stakeholders in delivering effective governance. “Employees are the backbone of our administration,” he said, pointing out that the state has prioritised paying salaries on the first of every month since taking office, even amidst financial challenges.

Bhatti said the government was committed to continuing welfare programmes launched by the previous administration while introducing new ones, all aimed at improving both public and employee welfare. “We are making financial adjustments to accommodate employee demands without burdening the public with extra taxes,” he assured, reflecting the government’s people-first approach.

He further revealed that concerns such as family weddings and hospital expenses—issues frequently flagged by employees—have been discussed multiple times within the Cabinet. “Our objective is to ensure that employees do not face hardships,” he said.

As the Cabinet meeting approaches, Bhatti confirmed that a comprehensive report would be prepared after discussions with the three-member committee, the Finance Department, and other officials. This report, he said, would be tabled in Thursday’s Cabinet session for a final resolution.

Top officials, including Naveen Mittal, Lokesh Kumar, Krishna Bhaskar, Sandeep Kumar Sultania, and Mahesh Datt Ekka, were present at the review meeting.
