Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Wednesday honoured successful candidates from both Telugu states who cleared the 2024 UPSC Civil Services and Indian Forest Service examinations, describing them as torchbearers of India’s future.
Addressing the achievers at a felicitation ceremony held in the historic Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, the Governor praised their dedication and perseverance, calling their success a testament to hard work and self-discipline. “Your journey stands as an inspiration to countless others who aspire to serve the nation,” he said.
Reminding them of their larger role, the Governor urged the young officers to embrace their responsibilities with humility, integrity, and compassion. “You are not just officers in waiting, but architects of India’s future,” he remarked, highlighting their potential to shape the country’s destiny through public service.
He also acknowledged the proud tradition of civil servants from the Telugu states, noting the vital role played by families and mentors in shaping their success. “Behind every successful candidate, there’s a network of support that deserves equal recognition,” he added.
The ceremony was attended by Principal Secretary to the Governor, Shri M. Dana Kishore, IAS, along with senior officials, faculty members, and proud family members of the achievers.
