Hyderabad: Commercial LPG cylinder prices have been cut by ₹24, bringing the cost of a 19 kg cylinder down to ₹1,723.50 nationwide starting June 1. The revision, announced by oil companies on Saturday, is part of the routine monthly adjustment based on global crude trends and market conditions.
This marks the second reduction in recent months—on April 1, prices had been cut by ₹41. While commercial consumers are seeing some respite, household LPG cylinder rates remain untouched.
Even if modest, the ₹24 drop brings slight relief to small businesses, restaurants, and the hospitality industry, all of which depend heavily on bulk LPG supplies.
Officials noted that LPG prices vary across states due to differing local levies and transport charges, but the pan-India benchmark rate now stands at ₹1,723.50 for a commercial cylinder.
India consumes the bulk of its LPG—about 90 per cent—for domestic cooking. The rest is used in commercial kitchens, industrial operations, and automotive applications.
