Hyderabad: In a split second, history was made. Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri claimed the 72nd Miss World crown at the grand finale in Hyderabad, where she was crowned by last year’s winner, Krystyna Pyszková of Poland.
The evening was a star-studded affair, with Hyderabad’s charm on full display and celebrities from across India gathering to celebrate a blend of purpose, intelligence, values, commitment, and beauty.
The contest was a battle of nerves, yet each contestant brought more than just competitive spirit—they brought grace and a sense of camaraderie that lifted the atmosphere.
From a field of 108 contenders from every corner of the world, Miss Ethiopia came in second, followed by Miss Poland in third place and Miss Martinique in fourth.
While I extend my congratulations to the winners, it’s clear that every one of these young women is a champion in her own right, each stepping onto a global stage to share her skills and passion for the greater good.
As hosts, we also had the chance to showcase “Telangana Rising” to our international guests, sharing the richness of our culture, heritage, history, and the incredible warmth of our people.
They now carry our story forward as ambassadors of our spirit, and the world will echo our invitation: Telangana, Zaroor Aana!
And in a flash of a second, History was made. Miss Thailand Opal Suchata Chuangsri was crowned the 72nd #MissWorld at the grand finale in Hyderabad. As per tradition, she was taken to the symbolic throne and crowned by Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszková from Poland.
