Hyderabad: Commuters heading towards Dilsukhnagar from Chaderghat faced delays on Saturday after a sewage leak disrupted traffic flow near Old Malakpet.
The Hyderabad traffic police issued an advisory cautioning motorists about the slowdown caused by emergency repair work being carried out by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) near Akbar Plaza. The ongoing works follow a heavy sewage overflow that has choked one of the main routes linking Chaderghat to Nalgonda X Roads.
Officials have urged motorists to steer clear of the affected stretch and use alternative routes until the repairs are completed. The traffic police have also appealed for public cooperation as they work to manage congestion and ensure safety.
