Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to unveil an ambitious vision for the state’s development by 2047 at the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting in Delhi on Saturday. Marking his first appearance at the council since 2018, the Chief Minister will outline a roadmap that positions Telangana as a key contributor to India’s long-term growth.
The meeting, themed ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’, will take place at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, where Revanth Reddy will introduce the ‘Telangana Rising 2047 Vision’. The presentation will detail strategic initiatives for infrastructure development, economic transformation, and inclusive governance.
Key focus areas include achieving a $1 trillion economy, expanding investment opportunities, and fast-tracking sectors where Telangana already leads such as IT, pharmaceuticals, and urban development. Major infrastructure plans such as the Regional Ring Road (RRR), radial roads, a dry port, and the establishment of world-class institutions like the Young India Sports and Skills Universities will also be highlighted.
The Chief Minister is expected to elaborate on the state’s welfare schemes, including farm loan waivers, paddy bonuses, subsidised rice, free bus travel for women, 200 units of free electricity, and LPG cylinders at ₹500 all aimed at alleviating poverty and empowering women.
On social empowerment, Revanth Reddy will discuss the state’s legislative push for SC sub-categorisation, caste-based census, and a resolution demanding 42% reservations for BCs.
With a focus on decentralised, inclusive development, the Telangana delegation will also seek greater support from the Centre to realise these long-term goals.
