Hyderabad: The Miss World 2025 pageant, hosted with grandeur at Hyderabad’s HITEX on Saturday, officially kicked off what the Telangana government is treating as a high-profile showcase of the state’s culture and tourism. As part of the itinerary, contestants from around the globe will visit the Buddhavanam project in Nagarjuna Sagar, Nalgonda district, on Monday, May 12.
Police teams under Nalgonda SP Sharath Chandra Pawar have taken charge of security, rolling out extensive arrangements for the international guests. With participation from bomb squads, dog squads, and area domination teams, thorough inspections have already been carried out around the venue.
Roughly 1,000 personnel have been deployed for the visit. Officials confirmed a no-drone zone has been enforced in and around the heritage site to ensure safety and privacy.
Alongside the contestants, delegates from various countries are also expected. A dedicated intelligence setup has been activated to monitor the situation and prevent any untoward incidents.
The state’s tourism department has refurbished the Buddhavanam complex and readied the Vijay Vihar guest house for rest and hospitality. District Collector Ila Tripathi and SP Pawar have been personally supervising arrangements and continuously monitoring logistics on-site.
