HYDERABAD: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) continues its probe into cases involving online betting applications across Telangana. A dedicated meeting was held by the SIT team to assess the status and details of all such cases registered throughout the state.
The review focused on cases filed in various locations, including Panjagutta and Miyapur in Hyderabad, as well as others across the state. Officials evaluated the progress and current status of each investigation.
The SIT has confirmed that the inquiry in online betting apps is proceeding according to legal protocols and is being executed with carefully planned strategies to avoid procedural complications.
To streamline the investigation process, the SIT is preparing to establish a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) shortly. These will be implemented to ensure uniformity and efficiency in handling cases.
In the next phase, the SIT plans to conduct a workshop under the supervision of senior officials to provide specialised training to investigation personnel.
Additionally, a dedicated centre will be established within the SIT’s framework to support ongoing investigations. This centre will serve as a legal advisory and coordination hub for addressing cases linked to betting applications.
