Hyderabad: The Air Force Academy in Dundigal held its Combined Graduation Parade on Saturday, marking the completion of pre-commissioning training for 254 flight cadets. All were formally inducted into service following the successful conclusion of their training.
Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh reviewed the parade and received the salute from the graduating cadets. He conferred the President’s Commission on the officers, formally inducting them into the Indian Air Force.
The batch included cadets from the Indian Navy and Coast Guard, along with one foreign trainee. All were awarded their ‘Wings’ after completing training requirements.
The cadet who topped the flying branch received the Sword of Honour and the President’s Plaque. In the ground duty stream, the top-performing cadet was also honoured with the President’s Plaque.
An aerial display was held following the parade. The event marked the transition of the cadets from training to active military service.
