Hyderabad: Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao instructed all government departments to prepare specific action plans to align their functioning with the State’s long-term Telangana Rising 2047 objective.
At a meeting held at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat, senior IAS, IPS, and IFS officers interacted with a central team from Mission Karmayogi. The session focused on capacity building and skill upgradation programmes for government staff across the country, as explained by Dr Alka Mittal, member of the Capacity Building Commission of India.
The Chief Secretary directed departments to draw up structured training initiatives for State government employees under the Mission Karmayogi framework. He said such programmes would help improve the execution of schemes launched by the government.
Chief Secretary Rao noted that Telangana already has active training institutions, including the Dr MCR HRD Institute, Telangana Police Academy, Forest Academy, and Excise Academy. These are conducting department-specific training programmes for officers and support staff.
Information and Public Relations Special Commissioner Ch. Priyanka said the Media Academy has launched exclusive training programmes for print and electronic journalists. She also said capacity-building exercises are being planned for department personnel under the Information wing.
Senior officers including Animal Husbandry Special Chief Secretary Sabyasachi Ghosh, Home Department Special Chief Secretary Ravi Gupta, Panchayat Raj Principal Secretary N. Sridhar, Revenue (City and Excise) Principal Secretary S.A.M. Rizvi, GAD (Services) Secretary Mahesh Dutt Ekka, GAD Secretary Raghunandan Rao, Revenue Secretary D.S. Lokesh Kumar, PCCF Suvarna, Women and Child Welfare Secretary Anita Ramachandran, HMDA Metropolitan Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmad, SERP CEO Divya, Housing Special Secretary V.P. Gautam and others attended the meeting.
